Video Interlude: Kate Holmes Interviewed Former Partner Jeanne Yang for Aol

This past March brought the news that Katie Holmes would shutter her co-owned clothing line with Jeanne Yang, Holmes & Yang. But despite rumors that “Jeanne enjoys the spotlight way more than Katie does. Things have definitely soured between them…,” Holmes chose Yang as one of five inspirational women to interview for her first episode of her new Aol series “In short.” In the video, Yang still defines her job as co-designer and co-partner of Holmes & Yang. While filming was most likely done before the line shut down, things couldn’t have been so bad between the two former partners behind-the-scenes.

Also joining Holmes to talk about careers, New York and being a woman is the editor of Paper Magazine Kim Hastreiter, television producer Jane Rosenthal, editor-in-chief of Refinery29 Christine Barberich, the editor-in-chief of the New York Times Jill Abramson and dancer/choreographer Reneé Robinson. It’s a good watch should you need some female empowerment going into the weekend.
